Summary: We have rented 951 Coronado on two summer occasions, once in 2016 and again in 2020. We have been renting houses in Coronado for more than 20 years during the summers and it is rare that we favor a house sufficiently to rent it twice, so this is definitely one of our top choices. The neighborhood is part of the Country Club section of the island where single family homes are on unusually large lots, and this home is within 3 blocks of the beach and Sunset Park. The area is populated with year-round families, often in newly remodeled homes, and is not disturbed by commercial traffic. Furthermore, it is sufficiently distant from the beach to avoid beach traffic and related parking issues. The house has undergone several renovations over the years, including a nicely remodeled second floor master suite with full bath and office completed in 2020. A total of 5 bedrooms(including a first floor master) and 3 baths makes it ideal for an extended family. The main living area floor plan is open, with a large dining room adjacent to a spacious family room and a kitchen with a seated bar counter with access to a covered patio and grilling area in the side yard. The house also has a private rear yard with a pool and heated spa. The garage has been converted to an extra TV room with washer/dryer, second refrigerator, exercise equipment and bike/beach storage areas. Street parking is normally available but rarely necessary since the long driveway accommodates several cars. Equally important, the owners are easy to work with, keep their house in good shape, and are responsive to renters needs and any issues that develop during the rental period. We have come to know many properties and owners over the years, so we bring some experience to our very positive recommendation about renting 951 Coronado Avenue. We would be planning to rent it again regularly but our family is in the process of completing the remodeling of a home on the island.
