It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. This three-bedroom home is set up for groups who want comfort indoors and a real backyard to come home to at the end of the night.
Living space
Natural light moves through the open living area, where you can unwind on the sofa in front of a 70" HDTV loaded with Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Chromecast, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, and Netflix. A dedicated workspace and fast Wifi sit in the common space for anyone who needs to stay connected or catch up on work between adventures. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep the temperature right no matter the time of year.
Sleeping arrangements
Each of the three bedrooms is anchored by a king bed dressed in premium linens. Room-darkening shades, walk-in closets, additional closet space, and dressers give every guest room to settle in properly. With 2.5 bathrooms - including a bathtub and walk-in shower - mornings run smoothly even when the whole group is getting ready at once.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen comes fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to a proper dinner. Appliances include a Frigidaire refrigerator, Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove, Frigidaire stainless steel single oven, microwave, dishwasher, and hot water kettle. A drip coffee maker, toaster, baking sheet, wine glasses, and barbecue utensils round out the setup. Cooking basics, dishes, and silverware are all provided.
