Positive: I didn't end up staying in the small cottage I had reserved. On the day I was to arrive, I had a call from the manager of the property. He explained to me that the cottage was double booked by accident, and offered me another property to use instead. I accepted the offer. I went to a property a mile or so down the road, still with ocean access. The property I had originally rented was a small, one bedroom, one bathroom cottage. The house I stayed in instead was a beautiful (to me) five bedroom, two bathroom, very old house with a wrap around porch and a LOT more space. Beautiful architectural accents. Hardwood oak floors, a newly renovated kitchen and a huge downstairs bathroom, full laundry room, big dining room big living room and even a butler's pantry. Three bedrooms upstairs, gorgeous six foot long clawfoot tub with added shower and triangular original sink. The third floor was accessible by a wrought iron circular staircase. It was a full floor Master bedroom with a king sized bed, small fridge, hardwood floor and a steel tip dart board! The house has a three sided wrap around porch, and a picket fence surrounding it. I LOVE old houses. I didn't want to leave it, it felt like home. I wish I could add more than four pictures.

Negative: It was obvious that this house had not really been used for an AIRBNB. It was not decorated and needed a lot of renovations yet. Personally, I didn't care, but others might. The kitchen supplies left a bit to be desired, such as a mixing bowl and any type of casserole dish, baking sheets, or baking pans. There were plenty of pretty plates, cups, glassware, flatware, utensils, stove top pans with lids etc. I bought some coasters, a tablecloth (for the vintage dining table), and a stainless steel mixing bowl as a house gift. The whole place could have used a general spring housecleaning.

Summary: Not what I was expecting, way better.
