Welcome to the Kentmorr Cottage! We are so excited to have you as guests and we hope you send our concierge a direct message if you need anything additional at all during your visit. Enjoy this newly updated, waterfront and very private single-family home with a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay. It's a perfect getaway for anyone looking for rest and relaxation amidst a quiet, breath-taking location. Enjoy swimming in the bay, fishing off the beach, sitting around an evening fire pit, visiting any of the local sandy beaches, or simply watching stunning sunsets from a private patio. Parking for two cars in the driveway, WiFi, TV, boat-ramp access, very large yard for family gatherings. Pets welcome.
You should feel comfortable picnicking on the lawn or on the private beach, enjoy sunshine relaxing by the beach or sitting / grilling by the firepit. Take a walk next door to enjoy the restaurant live acoustic music or ask Drew for the cocktail of the day! The TV has host-provided Netflix but does not have cable. The TV has free channels as well as access for Prime, Roku, etc but guests will need to provide their own log-in for these apps. Pets are welcome with advance notice, but if they are left in the home alone, we ask that they be in an animal crate- Thank you, in advance, for understanding.
Guest access: There is parking available in the driveway that is in front of the house. If you have a larger vehicle or larger guest list, you are welcome to utilize the restaurant parking. We are the last house on the right, just before Kentmorr Restaurant, and at the end of the point.
At the other end of route 8, about a 10-minute drive, there are two small neighborhood beaches. The nearest stores and gas stations are at the top of the island, about a 12-minute drive (guests may want to pick up food on their way in rather than drive back up the island). The island has two local airports for small aircraft for guests who fly in. There is a dedicated, paved bike path that runs the length of the island, and runs south of us to the Romancoke Pier. There is another path that runs east/west across the top of the island. About 5 miles north of us, there is a public beach with a pet-friendly designated area.
Other things to note
This home comes with a full service concierge if you choose. We can provide at an additional cost: A private chef and full menu design, private bartenders, charter boats and tours, executive transportation or a vintage 1973 Triumph TR-6 (to rent), hair / makeup / massage, themed events… we are also very good friends with the restaurant next door and can set up for weddings / or any large gatherings / celebrations etc. If you are interested in any of these services, just ask our full service concierge!
Note that this is a waterfront home- SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. There are no lifeguards on duty. There is a beach bar right next door, we encourage you to walk over, start a tab and enjoy the sunset!
Please also note that there are no fires permitted on the beach area. During the busy summer season, the restaurant will utilize the alley way to get to the trash cans.
